Monastery garden
The garden was originally the monastery garden of the Redemptorist Fathers. From 1855 to 1971 they lived in the monastery adjacent to the garden and they held their services in St. Joseph’s Church. Both buildings are still standing today. The monastery and the novitiate now house apartments and the church is used as a party and conference centre De Orangerie.
Location
The garden is located north of the Sint Jan, behind the Hinthamerstraat. The entrance is at the end of the streets Louwschepoort and In den Boerenmouw. The garden is also accessible from Sint Josephstraat via the Redemptorist Path.
Opening hours
The Hieronymus Bosch Garden is open daily from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. In the winter months, the garden closes at sunset.
